8:30 AM – Depart from Muscat to Nizwa

Leave Muscat early in the morning for Nizwa, approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour drive.

10:30 AM – Nizwa Fort and Souq

Begin your visit in Nizwa with a tour of the iconic Nizwa Fort, known for its large circular tower and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. After exploring the fort, head over to the nearby Nizwa Souq, famous for traditional handicrafts, silver jewelry, and pottery. If it’s a Friday, you may catch the lively cattle market.

11:30 AM – Al Hamra Village

Drive to Al Hamra, around 30 minutes from Nizwa. Al Hamra is one of Oman’s oldest villages, known for its traditional mud- brick houses and beautiful date plantations. Take a stroll through the narrow alleyways and explore the historic homes, many of which are well-preserved. You can also visit Bait Al Safah, a traditional house museum where you can see live demonstrations of Omani customs and crafts.

12:30 PM – Lunch Break

Take a break for lunch, either at a local restaurant or a packed picnic to enjoy in a scenic spot near Al Hamra.

1:30 PM – Misfat Al Abriyeen

Continue to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a charming mountain village around 15 minutes from Al Hamra. This village, with its lush terraced gardens, traditional stone houses, and ancient falaj irrigation system, offers a unique insight into Omani village life. Walk through the pathways and enjoy the scenic views, which make this a popular spot for photography.

3:00 PM – Depart Back to Muscat

Begin the return journey to Muscat after your time in Misfat Al Abriyeen.

4:30 PM – End of Tour
